Mount Etna (Latin: Aetna, Sicilian: Mungibeddu or ‘a Muntagna) is a very active stratovolcano on the east coast of Sicily, Italy, close to Messina and Catania. Its elevation is approximately 10, 991 feet (3,350 meters. The volcano’s height varies with summit eruptions.
